Frank Brannvoll is Managing Director and Founder of Brannvoll ApS since 2014. With 35 years of trading and financial background. Executive energy, Carbon and financial treasury professional.
In 2018 Frank returned to Denmark, transferring activities from Belgium Company to Brannvoll Aps.
Since 2020 Working for European Energy A/S on Wind and Solar power and Power 2X projects , Established Unit for EU and other strategic funds for projects all over Europe – to promote the Decarbonisation transition in EU.
The European EU ETS – Frank was part of establishing with the European Commission – being spokesperson for the Energy Intensive Industries in Europe – deeply involved in the format and implementation of the Emission Trading and its standards Previously, Frank was Special Advisor and analyst of Energy and Carbon Markets at CEMBUREAU from 2016 to 2018.
CEMBUREAU is the European Cement Association and representative organisation of the cement industry participating in development of Alternative fuels and standards. Prior to this, as Managing Director established the Swiss Branch of Danske Commodities in Zug from 2012 to 2014 establishing full trading set up.
From 2007 – 2012 Before this Frank in Engie / GDF Suez / Electrabel served as Head of trading desks for European power markets, environmental markets (carbon trading) and all commodity linked foreign exchanges. Focus on establishing new markets from 1997 – 2005 Set up and implemented Energy , Carbon and FX management in the Industrial Group StoraEnso – implementing a new corporate Group Policy concerning Energy and Carbon policies.
2005 – 2007 : Heading and implementing Point Carbons Brussels office with focus on the European Emission Trading schemes – advisory services to investors and groups. Advisor in Carbon markets for industrial groups and performing regular webinars for Cement and other sectors on Energy and Carbon markets.
Frank has now built-up expertise in the new EU funds concerning the Green deal and decarbonisation methods in EU, providing services to Companies within Wind, Solar and Power to X ´sectors.
Beside these activities Frank represents an Irish Fund – in Denmark Quantrom.com focused on stable equity returns Finally, Frank has been speaking and chairing several international energy conferences during the last 12 years, with focus on European power markets and involved in the establishment and use of power exchanges as member of advisory boards, and later as adviser been working closely with CEE exchanges and companies involved in trading.
The contact to industrial groups and financial institutions has been kept with a well-established network both in Brussels as well in many European countries.
Educational background
Graduated from Copenhagen Business School (CBS) International Business and participation in executive management programs in Europe and US with focus on strategy, investments and trading as well as development of business, participated in several projects and entrepreneurial set-ups within international Groups.
